Take the guesswork out of hanging your suspension bamboo.  The Ultimate Bamboo Mounting Kit allows you to hang your bamboo at the perfect height, and then easily take it down or set it up again with just the click of a carabiner.

Includes: two CMI nylon runners, two hanks of Hempex rope, and two brand name oval carabiners

Instructions:

1) Pass the nylon straps over your beam or through your eye bolts and connect each one with a carabiner at the bottom.  Adjust the straps as necessary so that each carabiner hangs roughly at your maximum reach.

2) Using your bamboo mounting knot of choice, connect each end of the bamboo to a carabiner using a hank of Hempex rope, adjust to your preferred height, and nicely finish tying off each rope.  It is recommended to NOT attach to the bamboo beyond the outside of the last intact node to avoid dangerous slippage.

3) When you're ready to take down the bamboo, leave everything tied and simply disconnect the carabiner from the strap.  This way, when you hang your bamboo again, you'll simply hook the straps into the carabiners and be ready to tie!

Why use Hempex instead of POSH?  That's a great question!  Hempex and POSH are made by the same manufacturer and have almost identical load ratings.  Hempex was chosen for this application because it doesn't shrink up when not under tension the way POSH does.  With bamboo being very light, hanging it with POSH can cause the bamboo to hang unevenly when not under load, and then it will gradually stretch back out when under load for a while.  This can make predicament ties less challenging and turn full suspensions into partial suspensions, so using Hempex simply makes things more consistent when you're tying on bamboo.
