Sumūzu begins with the finest Tossa jute fibers, which are then spun into a soft-yet-durable two-ply yarn.  The yarns are then twisted into strands and ultimately rope using a specialized process that gives the rope a smoother, flatter profile that is more comfortable against the skin while providing increased overall contact with the body.  This increased body contact allows for a wider variety of sensations and greater variability of tension when tying.

Sumūzu is vegan friendly and batched using soybean-based VOT, making it free of petroleum based chemicals and potential carcinogens. Clean and JBO-free.
