SteelBoo by Nomad Custom Steel

Our SteelBoo by Nomad Customs is quite literally a solid alternative to traditional bamboo.  Constructed from a piece of continuous 3" diameter structural steel tubing - not pipe, butted ends, and bamboo style nodes welded on.  The steelboo is then wire brushed and clear coated.  Available with or without end nodes in 4', 5', 6' lengths with 7'+ available for special order.  If you want a more industrial look or don't want to share your precious bamboo, then this is a great choice - especially for high use public spaces.

Price includes shipping.

To care for your steelboo, be prepared to apply fresh clear coat after extensive abrasive use.  If any surface rust appears from humidity or extended outdoor use, simply use a wire brush to clean it up and apply spray paint clear coat to seal.

If the clear coat can eventually peel, why not offer them powder coated?  This is an option if you are okay with the expense, which will roughly double the cost of a steelboo in most cases.  Additionally, rope friction over time will also eventually burnish through powder coat - it can even polish through the color of anodized carabiners!  We feel that the short term advantage does not justify the additional cost.
