Ogawa 6mm Jute Rope - 8m hank

Ogawa rope is the gold standard of shibari rope.  A quick internet search will tell you that this is the preferred rope of many renowned masters of the rope bondage arts from all over the world!  The natural golden color of this jute rope is classic.  And now it is readily available to you in the USA.

We supply this Ogawa 6mm jute rope untreated and unprocessed so that you can make it your own.  Some people prefer a quick application of conditioning oil or butter, while others carefully singe the extra fuzz prior to conditioning, and some others simply use it straight away with no treatment at all, allowing the natural oils of skin to hydrate the rope while the friction of tying eventually works away the jute fuzz.  The choice is yours, much as your path is also your own.

This listing is for a single 8 meter hank (the most common length traditionally used in Japan, for what it's worth) of 6mm jute rope finished with knotted ends.

**This rope, like most jute rope, is manufactured with JBO (jute batching oil) which some studies have suggested may be carcinogenic.
