Hempex 6mm Synthetic Rope - 8m+ hank

Hempex is a synthetic alternative to natural hemp rope.  It comes close in appearance and tooth to the real thing while being much stronger with an estimated rating of 1,142lbs!  Hempex is very popular as a safer choice for suspension lines as well as other rigging applications such as hanging suspension bamboo or a ring.  Due to its stiff nature, we don’t recommend this rope for use on the body, but you may have a different opinion.

Originally designed for marine use, this rope will not be damaged when used in water.  However, Hempex does float, so keep that in mind if using it in the water.

This listing is for a single 8+ meter hank (the most common length traditionally used in Japan, for what it's worth) of 6mm Hempex rope finished with knotted ends.
